About

I’m an animator living in the western section of the world, but right at this moment sitting in Ottawa, Canada. I spent most of my life in Australia, was born in the Soviet Union and have an unnatural desire to move through time and space.
Mostly I love cartoons, old computer games, ducks, owls, sparrows (in that order) and music. But more than that I love the people involved in all of the above. I love the environment that comes from large collections of creative folk hanging out, sometimes even more so with higher forces whipping them into greater storms of work from above.
Most of my animation is 3d because it’s easier for me to get that stuff out of my head and onto ‘paper’, 3d is what I know, I’ve been doing it since grade 10 when I went out of my way to buy the holy 3d Studio Max 3.0 (with character studio!). After doing every tutorial I could find (mostly blowing up a whole lot of planets) I decided that I needed to go to university to find out what real animation involves and moved on to a bunch of 2d and Maya.
I’ve been painting since I was wriggly and pink, and will probably do so until I am short and pruney. Although lately I’ve discovered a newfound love in digital painting. I hope you enjoy my work. I play guitar in my spare time, sketch as much as I can without people getting too suspicious that I’ve just made their head look like an eggplant, watch Muppets and try to come up with ideas for animations which I will probably never have the time or facilities to do.
And if you ever want to ask me something, need a virtual hug, want to discuss the amazing-ness of animation, want me to have a look at some of your art, have an awesome idea we should work on together, need an inspirational boost, or just really need to email someone,
or tell me about an awesome job working with some super fun people who also like cartoons, email me!
